Coca Cola Zero ad

:: Thursday, Jun 14th 2007 @ 12:53 :: Miscellany, TV ::

I couldn’t find the English version of this commercial but here’s what they are saying (I’m trying to remember what they’re saying on the original commercial):
His Ex: Hi.
Tim: Hi.
His Ex: So, how’ve you been?
[Coca Cola Zero presents. Life as it should be.]
Woman: Whip cream or chocolate sauce.
Tim: Both. (hanging from the rope) You know me, I manage.
[Real taste. Zero sugar. As it should be.]

You know what annoys me about that commercial? Tim drinks from the bottle before paying for it.

haha, I guess they want to say that people can’t resist it to the point that they have to drink it before paying XD..

Cute, never seen it before. And I’ve enjoyed beverages at the grocery store prior to purchase. I doubt anyone would care (with the exception of liquor). If anyone did care, I feel that stickin’ it to the ex would make it acceptable.

And if it annoys you that he drank it before paying, how do you feel that he caused an explosion and didn’t even pay for the drink?!

Also, how much is Coke paying you to run advertisements on your site?

You know, I thought of that too but for reason or other mentioned only the first annoyance.

Nothing. I love Pepsi!!! (I’d style the last sentence in bigger font but comments don’t allow span tags.)

Vera, I know the 1408 story but I didn’t know there was a movie coming out! Thanks for letting me know! I’ll keep my eye on the movie schedules here (i.e. I’ll let you know when it comes to Finland — in a year  ).

I like Coke better than Pepsi, but Cherry Pepsi better than Cherry Coke. And I’d still rather have an ice-cold Dr. Pepper.

Yup, 1408 is a short story by Stephen King. It is included in the book “Everything’s Eventual” and I think it is also present in “On Writing” where King describes his writing process.

Cherry Coke/Pepsi? Uh, I bet they taste like canned cherries. I tried the new apple Pepsi — bad. Lemon Pepsi wasn’t that special either and I think I could feel my teeth melting away. I think Cappuccino Pepsi has been the best flavour but I take Pepsi Max or regular Pepsi any time over those. I’ve never tried Dr. Pepper — I think I used to think it’s alcoholic so I’ve steered clear. I probably should try it some time (if it isn’t alcoholic).

They’ve printed a special movie tie-in of the book so maybe that’s the one you’ve seen?

1408 is coming to Finland on November 2nd. So, not exactly a year away (like I suspected) but quite a long time to wait.

    Hm.. maybe.

Yes, before you know it.. it’ll be November XD!

RE: “I think Cappuccino Pepsi has been the best flavour” There’s a Cappuccino Pepsi? I would so try that!!! =(
As for Zero - I tried that recently - ick.. its .. flavourless.. *no sugar added - I guess its more ‘healthy’.. but I can’t stand it.. lol, I rather drink water

I vaguely remember seeing a Cappuccino-flavoured Pepsi. I suppose it was a limited edition because the Finnish Pepsi site doesn’t include it any more in the available products. There’s a mention of it on Wikipedia.
