I&#8217;m not sure how long I&#8217;ve had this layout &#8212; +3 years in any case. (Can it be 6 years? An internet archive site showed this layout in a stored page from 2004&#8230; Whoooboy, high time then.)<\/p>\n<p>First I started making a theme based on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.all-things-me.net\/blog\/?p=271\">the blogging application<\/a> I did for a University course.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2450 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.all-things-me.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/dokumentointi.gif\" alt=\"Snippet of a portfolio layout for uni\" width=\"373\" height=\"152\"><\/p>\n<p>Then I wanted to do something red&#8230;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" title=\"A layout sketch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.all-things-me.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/100801_redlayout-e1280681051917.gif\" alt=\"A layout sketch\" width=\"400\" height=\"61\"><\/p>\n<p>Next I started creating something around a nice photo of mine&#8230;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" title=\"Collar with a smiley pin\" src=\"http:\/\/www.all-things-me.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/100801_shirt.jpg\" alt=\"Collar with a smiley pin\" width=\"341\" height=\"188\"><br \/>\n(The pin is from my sister and I often wear it on my winter coat.)<\/p>\n<p>Now I&#8217;m creating a theme around this colour palette I created at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colourlovers.com\">Colourlovers.com<\/a> when I was planning the colour scheme for my apartment (back in 2007, sheesh).<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.colourlovers.com\/palette\/167007\/Abode\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" title=\"My &quot;Abode&quot; palette\" src=\"http:\/\/www.all-things-me.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/100801_Abode.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"161\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m feeling this time I&#8217;m actually going to finish it. Thankfully, I have 2 more weeks of vacation left!
